For 8 years, I operated as a CTO and Founder (Castaway Labs, Standby), building scalable SaaS products and leading engineering teams. I speak Node.js, API integrations, and cloud architecture fluently.
But I didn't want to just write code from an ivory tower. I wanted to see how it hit the ground.

The Pivot to Ops
In 2025, I co-founded Breezy Keys and TurnWrk to tackle property operations head-on.
I didn't just build the software; I managed the turnovers, coordinated the vendors, and dealt with the chaos of field operations. I saw firsthand how a “perfect” digital checklist falls apart when a cleaner is rushing to finish a turnover at 3:59 PM.
That's when it clicked: The gap isn't tools. It's the bridge between the tools and the people using them.
